Greening of the Church
On the last Sunday of Advent, after the morning liturgies are over, we invite everyone back to the church in the afternoon to help us decorate for Christmas Eve. The Altar Guild supplies pine, juniper, magnolia, and other greens, fruit, and candles, and some guidance.
Together, we cover the inside of the church until it smells like being in the middle of a forest. Cookies, coffee, and warm cider add to the good cheer. You don’t have to be an interior decorator to help; it’s such a large task, that every pair of hands is welcome.
