Habitat for Humanity
St. Paul’s joins with other churches, synagogues, and mosques in Kansas City to build “The House That Abraham Built” for a needy family. In this joining together of the Abrahamic faiths, we not only build a house, but also relationships and understandings in the spirit of service to others common to each of our faith traditions. We are one of the few intentionally designed multi-faith Habitat endeavors in the country.
There are all sorts of opportunities to help. Some are physically demanding, and some require only the ability to make sandwiches and pour lemonade. Members from all three faith communities join together to build the house; St. Paul’s tries to have parishioners and members of the Day School community on each workday. We also supply lunches, and finance the project by raising money from our parish.
The current “build” is at 25th & Bellefontaine.
We ask that workers be 16 years or older.
