St. Luke’s Hospital Auxiliary
The St. Paul’s members of St. Luke’s Hospital Auxiliary invite you to share with them in doing God’s work in the community. St. Paul’s has always had a strong presence in the Auxiliary since its organization in 1908 by a group of dedicated Episcopal women. In fact, eight of the last 22 presidents have been members of St. Paul’s. The Auxiliary welcomes both women and men.
Members are encouraged to give a minimum of 24 days service per year. A ‘day’ consists of a particular committee work schedule. Volunteer work committees are:
- Gift Shop: 2 shifts, one morning, one afternoon
- Chapel: Altar Guild
- Surgical Waiting Room: reception desk
- Heart Institute Waiting Room: reception desk, C Level and first floor
- Library Cart
General meetings are held November and April with the annual meeting and luncheon in May. A special celebration for St. Luke’s Day, October 18th, is held in the chapel, and all new members of the past year are dedicated for service by the Bishop of West Missouri.
