Acolytes
The acolytes are youth (4th-12th grade) who serve with the clergy in leading worship at St. Paul’s. The word “acolyte” means “follower” or “one who helps.” Acolytes assist the clergy at the altar and in processions, carrying the crosses (crucifers), candles (torches), banners and flags. All parish youth are welcome to serve as acolytes, and new acolytes are trained throughout the school year.
